Letter to Dahn Vo

Dear Dahn

I thought I should write you this short letter. Few days ago I found a package in my postbox with an amazing gift: a really nice tie was inside the box as, I quickly understood, part of you Autoerotic Asphyxiation exhibition in the New York Artists Space. I have to say: thank you.

Even though we never met in person there must be a hidden reason for sending such a item, which obviously is far from a conventional gallery related invitation card. I appreciate this a lot. It took me a bit of time to realize the meaning of such a present. A beautifully crafted tie had this “Autoerotic Asphyxiation” silkscreened in its back alongside Clemens-en-August collection. The relationship between art and fashion keeps me busy in occasions too. But this is not something I could presume.

I don’t have any tie in my closet and never had one. Could this be possible? So be sure this will be a nice opportunity for me for wearing one sooner than later. I just hope that then, the item itself does not come to life with its secret auto-functionality activated. The pleasure will be in wearing the tie with it’s secrecy.
